Erling Haaland scores another hat-trick at Etihad, Manchester City win comfortably
In the English Premier League, Manchester City defeated Wolverhampton 3-0 with 3 goals (hat-trick) from Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.
Fighting for the top in week 21 of the league, Manchester City hosted Wolverhampton at the Etihad Stadium. The home team won 3-0 with goals from Haaland in the 40th, 50th and 54th minute.
Continuing his outstanding performance at City, to which he was transferred earlier in the season, Haaland increased his total number of league goals to 25 and ranked first in the top-scorer race. The Norwegian striker has already surpassed last season’s top scorers Mohammed Salah and Heung-min Son in the Premier League with 23 goals each.
Haaland scored his fourth league hat-trick against Wolverhampton after becoming the first player in league history to score 3 goals in 3 consecutive home games this season.
