Sabalenka and Rublev advance to round 4 at the Australian Open
In the morning session of the 6th day of the Australian Open played in Melbourne, the matches of the 3rd round continued.
In the women’s singles match, Sabalenka defeated Belgian Elise Mertens (26 seeds) 2-0 in sets 6-2 6-3.
The Swiss Belinda Bencic (12) beat the Italian Camila Giorgi 2-0, who was in 70th place in the standings, with sets that ended 6-2 and 7-5.
