Inter beat the biggest Milan in Italy!
In the Italian Super Cup final, Inter became champions by beating their arch-rivals Milan 3-0. In the final match played at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, Milan, champion of the Italian Serie A for the 2021-2022 season, and Inter, winner of the Italian Cup, shared their letters of triumph.
Starting the fight fast, Inter went ahead 1-0 with a goal from Federico Dimarco on the foot after 10 minutes. Inter increased the difference to 2 with Bosnia and Herzegovina star Edin Dzeko’s goal in the 21st minute and ended the first half on top with this score.
Although Milan started the second half under pressure, they could not find the goal they were looking for. Inter’s Argentinian striker Lautaro MartÃnez scored the goal in the 77th minute that determined the score of the match at 3-0.
Meanwhile, national footballer Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who started the fight in the first 11 at Inter, was replaced by Kristjan Asllani in the 84th minute.
Inter managed to win this trophy for the second time in a row and for the seventh time in total. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi managed to win the Italian Super Cup for the second time in a row with her blue-black team. Inzaghi increased the number of Italian Super Cups in his career to 4, with 2 trophies he won while coaching Lazio.
