Usain Bolt lost millions of dollars
Usain Bolt, who is listed as one of the greatest athletes of all time, was recorded to have lost millions of dollars. According to The Guardian news, an investigation was launched after the incident, apparently due to inconsistencies in the accounts of Usain Bolt’s investment company, Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL).
Usain Bolt’s manager, Nugent Walker, said the Jamaican Financial Investigation Unit and Financial Services Commission are looking into investment firm SSL. “We first became aware of what appeared to be inconsistencies in Usain Bolt’s accounts on Wednesday,” Nugent Walker said in a statement. All appropriate steps have been taken to get to the bottom of this. “While the investigation continues, I cannot give information on the amount at this time,” he said.
Usain Bolt earned $33 million in endorsement, prize money, and participation fees in 2016 alone. The world-famous athlete, who retired in 2017, has plenty of high-end endorsement deals.
