Luka Doncic drives to victory
In the American Basketball League (NBA), the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Houston Rockets 129-114 in a Triple-Double game by star player Luka Doncic.
The Mavericks defeated the Rockets, whom Doncic played with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists, to win 5 straight times and 20 wins for the season. Doncic became the first player in NBA history to post a Triple-Double with 60 points, 20 rebounds and more in the previous game, when they beat the New York Knicks 126-121 in overtime.
Alperen Åžengün, who plays for the Houston Rockets, added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist in the game in which he spent 16 minutes and 50 seconds. The Rockets’ Jalen Green was the team’s leading scorer with 23 points, but could not prevent the loss.
RECORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH TO WIN
Julius Randle’s season-high 41 points and Immanuel Quickley’s career-high 36 points weren’t enough to lead the Knicks to victory in the San Antonio Spurs’ 122-115 win over the New York Knicks.
Despite two top-level performances, the Knicks lost again, losing their fifth straight game.
Keldon Johnson was the team’s leading scorer with 30 points for the San Antonio Spurs. Romeo Langford also set a career high 23 points for the home team.
