Former Olympic champion David Rudisha survives plane crash
Kenyan athlete David Rudisha, who crowned the 800-meter dash with gold medals at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games, survived the plane crash by chance.
The plane carrying Rudisha and five people crashed on Saturday in Kajiado county in southeastern Kenya. Rudisha, a 33-year-old Kenyan, described the incident as a “terrible moment.”
Speaking to the Daily Nation, Rudisha said: “The plane’s engine suddenly went silent. Everything was fine 7-8 minutes after the plane took off. The pilot saw an empty space where the plane could land. However, before landing on the rocky area, the plane lost control and one of the wings crashed into a tree. The pilot did his best to keep the plane stable for a long time.” he used his statements.
