He went to the “Sambacılar” museum due to the “full ownership” rule.
NEW DESIGN DETERMINED BY THE COMPETITION
After the 1970 World Cup, FIFA held an international competition to determine the new trophy design, and 53 designs entered this competition.

Gazzaniga’s design, consisting of a globe supported by two angels of victory with their hands raised, remains the grand prize of this important organization that locks millions of people on the screen at the same time.
The image that comes to mind when the World Cup is mentioned for the past 50 years, this unique Gazzaniga design is produced at their facility in Paderno Dugnano, near the industrial city of Milan, Italy.
THE CUP WEIGHS 6.2 KG

As he told the story of the FIFA World Cup, Losa noted:
“This cup is the work of Silvio Gazzaniga, the artistic director of the time, together with Eugenio Losa, owner of the Bertoni company, and my grandfather. It was originally designed around two goalies lifting a soccer ball into the air. After different discussions, it was decided to replace the goalkeepers with two victory angels. Later, the world took the place of the soccer ball. This was the new World Cup, the final design presented to FIFA.”
THE WINNER GETS THE COPY
Noting that the trophy is the only original work that was presented in 1974 and remains with FIFA, Losa said: “The original trophy is sent to the winning team at the ceremony at the end of the final match, then it comes to us to engrave the name. of the winning team on the puck at the bottom. Then he returns to FIFA. In the meantime, of course, if there is any damage or stain on the mug, we go over it to restore it. The winning team does not receive the original gold trophy, but a gold and brass alloy copy with their name engraved.
Valentina Losa stated that the trophy is already in Qatar and ready to be awarded to the winning team, saying: “We are now producing a World Cup copy for 2026.”
