MotoGP Champion Francesco Bagnaia
Francesco Bagnaia, the Italian rider for the Ducati Lenovo team, who finished 9th on day 20 of the MotoGP World Championship, Valencia Grand Prix, reached the championship.
The last fight of the season in the most important motorcycle racing organization was held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, 4 kilometers long, with 27 laps.
Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Alex Rins started the race from fifth pocket, seeing the checkered flag first, earning his second MotoGP victory of the season and fifth MotoGP victory of his career.
One of the riders fighting for the championship, Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha team) finished the fight in 4th place and Francesco Bagnaia in 9th place.
Bagnaia, who entered the final race 23 points clear of 2021 champion Quartararo, finished the riders’ standings 17 points clear of his opponent and won the first MotoGP title of his career.
Bagnaia, 25, is the first Ducati rider to win a MotoGP title since Casey Stoner in 2007.
