UEFA Europa League results of the night

The UEFA Europa League, the number two tournament in European football at club level, completed the 5th week with 16 games.

Fenerbahçe, who are in Group B, fell 3-0 to Rennes, whom they hosted, but left the field tied 3-3 after making an important comeback. While the dark yellow-blue team’s goals came from Enner Valencia, Miha Zajc and Emre Mor, the guest team rocked the net with Amine Gouiri (2) and Martin Terrier.

With this result, the fight for the leadership between the two teams with 11 points, Fenerbahce and Rennes, who will participate directly in the round of 16, moves to the last week. The team that finishes the group in second place will be able to obtain a visa for the round of 16 if they pass the play-off round.

TRABZONSPOR RELEASED TO THIRD PLACE

Trabzonspor lost 2-1 to Serbian representative Kızılyıldız and made it difficult to stay in the top two of Group H. The winning goals for the home team were scored by Aleksandar Katai in the 37th minute and Aleksandar Pesic in the 64th. Bordeaux’s goal- Blues came from Anastasios Bakasetas in the 39th minute.

In the other group match, Ferencvaros drew 1-1 with Monaco. After 5 matches, Ferencvaros secured the first round with 10 points and Monaco is in second place with 7 points. Trabzonspor of the 6-point teams is in third place and Red Star is in fourth place.

The representative from the Black Sea, who have no chances of leadership, will play the matches of the play-off round of the tournament if they finish the group in second place. If Trabzonspor finish third in the group, they will continue their path to the UEFA European Conference League play-off round.
