Parliamentary elections will probably take place on Wednesday 22 November. Based on sources in The Hague, De Telegraaf reports that the outgoing cabinet aims for that date and that a decision on the matter will be taken on Friday during the last Council of Ministers before the summer political vacation.
This means that Holland will have an interim cabinet for months until the proposed ballot box, just like during the formation that awaits after. The latest attempt to form a cabinet proves it can take a long time: it lasted almost 300 days.
