According to trainer Pieter Verhoeve, the behavior of the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB) at the end of the training in North Brabant was not good. According to Verhoeve, the party drafted new texts on several points after consulting supporters, while a coalition agreement already existed at the time.
“I find it inconvenient and I don’t think it’s possible,” Verhoeve said during a special session of the provincial council on the formation process. BBB, VVD, PvdA and GroenLinks had already decided when the BBB submitted additional requirements. According to the trainer, they proved to be too much for the other three parties.
The changes have affected nitrogen, nature, agriculture and water. According to Verhoeve, it wasn’t just a deadline for cattle ranchers to convert their stables to reduce nitrogen emissions. BBB party chairman John Frenken said last week that was the breaking point.
‘I find it uncomfortable and I don’t think it’s possible’
The former accused the parties of not having thought enough about the general interest and too much about the party’s interest. According to Verhoeve, the province needs a stable administration.
