Trump left Florida for New York on Monday for his expected booking and arraignment the following day on charges stemming from hush money payments during his 2016 campaign, which met a criminal case the likes of which his country has never seen.

While there may be some agitators thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, our message is clear and simple:

control yourself,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams said. New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger. We are the safest major city in America because we respect the rule of law in New York City.
Trump supporters, including one of his staunchest congressional defenders, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, scheduled a rally in New York late Tuesday morning, likely before Trump was due to appear in court as part of the indictment. Adams took the unusual step of naming the congressman by name.
While we don’t have specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has been known to spread misinformation and hate speech, have stated she’s coming to town, Adams said. “While you’re in town, be on your best behavior.
Trump and his aides eagerly embraced the expected media frenzy, perhaps even involving network television helicopters tracking his progress from Mar-a-Lago to the airport for his flight to New York. After initially being blindsided by news of the indictment when it came out Thursday night, Trump and his team are focused on using what they call a weak case against Trump to his advantage.

Boca Raton firefighter Erik Solensten and his retired colleague, John Fischer, started putting up banners early on. One was 30 feet by 6 feet and depicted police officers and firefighters saying, “Thank you for supporting us, President Trump.”
We are firefighters. We are prepared and don’t like to wait for things to happen, said Solensten, who took a vacation day to support Trump. He needs morals, just as everyone needs morals. He has done more for this country than any 10 presidents combined.
Trump faces multiple charges of falsifying corporate records, including at least one felony, in the indictment handed down last week by a Manhattan grand jury. The investigation examines six-figure payments made to porn actor Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal.

unprecedented ways. Trump spent the weekend playing golf and meeting with advisers, but his campaign says it has raised more than $5 million since the indictment was announced.
Top Republicans, including some of Trump’s potential rivals in next year’s GOP presidential primaries, have dismissed the case against him. Biden and leading Democrats have largely had little to say about it.
Solensten said it is incorrect for Trump to be charged with a crime stemming from an alleged encounter with a porn star long before he took office. He said investigators should instead look at Biden’s son, Hunter, and his business dealings, which committees in the Republican-controlled House have already begun to investigate.
To me, those acts are treacherous,” Solensten said of the Bidens. “But it’s a walk.
