Central polling stations in most provinces and all water utilities will determine the final election results on Thursday. Only in North Brabant, Utrecht and South Holland will follow the results of the provincial council elections on Friday.
Central polling stations hold sessions throughout the day, for example, in water utility offices, town halls or provincial houses. After these sessions, the results will be published.
Preliminary results show that the BBB has become the largest party in every province. As a result, the BBB is also expected to gain a strong position in the Senate. The ruling parties VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie have to give up several seats together. In most water councils, the BBB will be the largest party.
