CDA Minister Hugo de Jonge (Public Construction) sees nothing in the idea of working together again at the provincial level with the PVV. He’s not in favor of that, he clarified on the Buitenhof TV show.
‘I have just heard the party leader say he doesn’t see this happening at all. This also seems very sensible to me. We’ve been there and it’s not a good idea to do that,’ says De Jonge.
Door not fully closed
The De Limburger newspaper reported last week that the CDA and VVD in that province are opening the door to cooperation with the PVV after the March elections. In spring 2021, the coalition of both sides with the PVV dissolved due to a fight there.
“We do not exclude any party a priori,” said list leader Michael Theuns (CDA), according to De Limburger. This is also what the VVD party leader said. According to the PVV in Limburg, there have already been contacts with the leaders of both sides.
