The third coalition party CDA is also still losing out on last year’s parliamentary elections. The Christian Democrats then won 15 seats, but in the new elections they would end up with 8 seats.
ChristenUnie is the only coalition party that would now get an additional seat and end up with 6 seats. On balance, according to this poll, the coalition loses 31 seats and would end up with 47 seats. The four now have a slim majority of 77 of the 150 seats in the House of Representatives.

If PvdA and GroenLinks were to merge, this merging party could hypothetically become the largest party. Together they are now at 25 seats in the poll. Despite a significant loss, VVD is still virtually the largest party with 22 seats. The two left-wing opposition parties currently have a total of 17 seats; PvdA now has 9 and GroenLinks 8. According to the survey, they would be 11 and 14 respectively.
PvdA and GroenLinks have previously indicated they would like to work more closely together, but a merger is still being considered. In early October, GroenLinks party leader Jesse Klaver said he would participate in the upcoming House of Representatives elections alongside the PvdA as a left-progressive bloc with a common agenda. As far as he is concerned, that block should become the largest in the Netherlands, he said at the Kerkedijk conference. He wasn’t necessarily referring to a merger. This is an option, just like an electoral deal or bloc formation.
