Babacan: Talk has begun to keep the increase in the minimum wage below inflation
Deva Party Chairman Ali Babacan held a press conference at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Babacan stated that the government is trying to keep the minimum wage limited, and that the difference in inflation that occurred this year will be forgotten by the public, and that the increase will be made based on the low inflation announced for next year.
Noting that everyone’s agenda in society is the economy, Babacan said: “Because food has now become a battle for survival. Like I said before, the entire country became the set of Survivor. People struggle to survive with little money. While wages have eroded so much, the government’s statements are truly surprising. “Verbal acrobatics have already begun to keep the minimum wage increase below real inflation,” he said. (DHA)
