The volume of trade between Turkey and Russia will also exceed $65 billion this year
Andrey Buravove, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul, said in his statement that there has been a huge jump in trade volume between Turkey and Russia in the last five or six years, and the trade volume has almost tripled.
Recalling that last year the volume of trade between Turkey and Russia exceeded 65 billion dollars, Buravov said: “This year will be similar to this one. “We will preserve the dynamic,” he said.
NATURAL GAS CENTER TO BE BUILT IN Türkiye
Buravov recalled that the issue of “the creation of a natural gas center in Turkey” was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and stated that both sides are working on the details.
Buravov stated that natural gas shipments from Russia continue through various channels: “Finally, gas shipments are made through the Turkish Stream gas pipeline in the volume that Turkey wants and the potential is there. “There are also possibilities of sending this natural gas through Turkey to third countries that want to buy it,” he said.
ADVANCES IN NUCLELAR ENERGY
Reminding that the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Turkey continues, Buravov continued the following:
“The first reactor is about to come into operation and not only is a new facility being built here, but a new branch of the economy is also being created in Turkey. As for atomic energy, we are talking about a broader spectrum than atomic energy, and the training of personnel who will work in this field, at the level of engineers and technicians, is carried out in Russia. In this way, a new group of engineers will be created in Turkey who will be able to work in nuclear energy. “I think this is a very important factor.” (AA)
