Inflation of foreign producers increased in October
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-PPI) for October 2023.
According to this; In October 2023, an increase of 1.35 percent was recorded compared to the previous month, 49.61 percent compared to December of the previous year, 57.25 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 51.04 percent compared to to twelve-month averages.
YD-PPI increased by 57.25 percent year-on-year and decreased by 0.59 percent month-on-month in September.
THE ANNUAL INCREASE IN MANUFACTURING IS 57.30 PERCENT
Annual changes in two industry sectors; The increase was 54.78 percent in mining and quarrying and 57.30 percent in manufacturing.
Annual changes of the main industrial groups; The increase was 49.77 percent in intermediate goods, 62.19 percent in durable consumer goods, 61.27 percent in non-durable consumer goods, 43.75 percent in energy and 65. 49 percent in capital goods.
Monthly changes of two industry sectors; The increase was 2.79 percent in mining and quarrying and 1.33 percent in manufacturing.
Monthly changes of the main industrial groups; There was a 1.72 percent increase in intermediate goods, a 2.27 percent increase in consumer durables, a 3.39 percent increase in non-durable consumer goods, a decrease of 6, 91 percent in energy and a 1.30 percent increase in capital goods.
SUBSECTORS
Among the YD-PPI sectors, base metals, paper and paper products, 40.94 percent, coke and refined petroleum products, 43.75 percent were the subsectors where the indices increased the least.
For their part, tobacco products with 89.25 percent, computers and electronic and optical products with 72.53 percent, and machinery and equipment bys with 72.29 percent were the subsectors where the indices increased the most.
Among the HD-PPI sectors, coke and refined petroleum products were the subsectors where the indices decreased with 6.91 percent, and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers with 0.11 percent.
For their part, tobacco products with 8.09 percent, printing and recording services with 5.14 percent, computers and electronic and optical products with 4.78 percent were the subsectors where the indices increased the most.
