Petrol Ofisi buys BP Türkiye’s fuel unit
According to Bloomberg, Chris Bake, member of the board of directors of Vitol, the main shareholder of the Petrol Ofisi Group, said: “We are very happy to take this step that will further strengthen the Petrol Ofisi Group, the national pride of the Turkish energy sector. “We have full confidence in the future of Turkey with its young and dynamic population and its growth potential,” he said.
Mehmet Abbasoğlu, CEO of Petrol Ofisi Group, said; “We look forward to this exciting meeting that will further strengthen our power in the market and for our new teammates to join us.” he said.
The sale, which is subject to Competition Authority approval, is expected to be completed in 2024.
