The license period of the 3 TPAO fields is extended
The license periods of 3 Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) fields in Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Diyarbakır, Batman and Siirt were extended by 2 years.
The decisions of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources regarding oil rights were published in the Official Gazette.
Consequently, TPAO’s oil exploration license for 3 fields in Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Diyarbakır, Batman and Siirt with an area of 13 thousand 330 hectares, 21 thousand 997 hectares and 18 thousand 196 hectares, respectively, was extended for 2 years.
It was decided to extend the license period of the field in Kırklareli and Tekirdağ and the field in Diyarbakır until September 23, 2025, in order to determine the hydrocarbon potential of the region and incorporate it into the country’s economy.
The license period for the field at Batman and Siirt was extended until November 20, 2025, in order to allow commercial evaluation of the discovery in the area where crude oil was discovered, allow development of the field and reveal the hydrocarbon. the potential of the region and bring it to the country’s economy.
