Retirees have their eyes on that bonus…

When will the 5,000 TL retirement bonus be paid and how much will it be paid to widows and orphans?

The retirement bonus of 5,000 TL will be paid only once within the framework of the centenary of the Republic. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the payments will be deposited into the accounts by November 15. Following the announcement of the decision on the retirement bonus, one of the questions raised was whether working retirees and those receiving widow’s and orphan’s pensions would receive a retirement bonus of 5,000 TL.

WHEN WILL THE RETIREMENT BONUS BE PAID?

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that the date of payment of 5,000 lira to non-working retirees will not exceed November 15.

Işıkhan answered journalists’ questions after the Cabinet meeting held at the Presidential Complex.

To the question about the timing of the 5,000 lira payment that will be given to all retirees, except retirees who continue to work, Işıkhan responded as follows: “It seems that the payments will not exceed November 15.”

WHO WILL GIVE THE 5000 TL RETIREMENT BONUS?

After the cabinet meeting, Erdoğan announced who will receive the retirement bonuses. Erdoğan announced that no retirement bonuses will be given to retirees who continue to work.

“We exclude from this regulation our retirees who have retired but continue to actively work. These payments will be deposited into the accounts of our retirees starting in the first half of November. At the beginning of the year we will review the situation of our retirees and make all possible sacrifices. “I hope this decision will be beneficial.”

WILL THOSE WHO RECEIVE A WIDOW’S AND ORPHAN’S PENSION RECEIVE A RETIREMENT BONUS?

Those who are widowed and have no children are expected to benefit from the bonus at the rate of 75 percent, those who are widowed and have children at the rate of 50 percent, and orphans at the rate of 25 percent.

Accordingly, it is stated that payments for citizens with children and widows will be 2,500 TL, and the payment for orphans will remain at 1,250 TL.
