The 12th Development Plan was accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey
During the discussions on the 12th Development Plan in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, 29 motions were presented regarding sending the plan back to the Presidency. Eight of the proposals were withdrawn and the other proposals discussed were not accepted.
In the vote held after the completion of the negotiations, the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly approved the 12th Development Plan.
In his acceptance speech after the acceptance of the Plan, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz expressed the opinion that “the Plan, which is a long-term roadmap within the framework of the 2053 vision, received its final form thanks to the will of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.”
Yılmaz thanked all parliamentarians who contributed their assessments and said: “I believe that we will make a strong start to the new century of our Republic at a time when the world faces new challenges. In this sense, our red apple is the Turkish century, which is the expression of the centuries-old dreams of our nation. “Our XII Development Plan, designed within the framework of vision 2053, will be our basic guiding document in our forward-looking decision-making processes in the new century of our Republic,” he stated.
