Ken Griffin is building the most expensive house in the world

Billionaire Ken Griffin, founder of Citadel Venture Fund, plans to build the world’s most expensive home valued at $1 billion in Palm Beach, Florida.

Billionaire Ken Griffin, who is ranked 35th among the world’s richest people with a value of $34.6 billion on the Forbes World Billionaires List, will build a $1 billion estate on Florida’s most prestigious piece of land.

While Griffin’s 27-acre property will be the largest in the area, seven acres of land will include a separate home for his mother, Catherine Gratz Griffin.

After moving his company’s headquarters to Miami in 2022, Griffin’s massive real estate project in Palm Beach began in 2012 with a series of acquisitions that currently total $450 million.

The megaproject, estimated to cost between $150 million and $400 million to build, will stretch from the Intracoastal to the Atlantic Ocean.

The acreage marks the largest property in Palm Beach, surpassing Trump’s nearly 20-acre Mar-a-Lago property.

IT IS REMEMBERED WITH RECORD EXPENSIVE HOUSES

Griffin was known for his expensive property purchases prior to his Palm Beach investment.

Famous American investor Ken Griffin bought the most expensive house in the US for $238 million in 2019, claiming it was close to his business. That same year, Griffin also purchased a home in London for $122 million, which became the most expensive home sold in that city in a decade.

In Chicago, where the Citadel founder lived and worked for three decades, he again broke the record for the largest home sale in that city in 2018, paying $58.5 million for a condo on the Gold Coast.
