Lukoil president Nekrasov dies
Vladimir Nekrasov, chairman of the board of directors of the Russian oil company Lukoil, is reported to have died.
Lukoil’s statement states that Nekrasov, 66, died from heart failure.
Nekrasov was replaced by Ravil Maganov, who died in September 2022 after falling from the window of the hospital where he was being treated.
WHO IS NEKRASOV?
Vladimir Nekrasov spent almost half a century working in the oil and gas industry. He rose from a mechanic to general director of Lukoil-Western Siberia, the main production company of the Lukoil group. He later served as the company’s first vice president, advisor to the president, and chairman of the board of directors.
In 2000, Nekrasov became a candidate of technical sciences. Nekrasov’s awards include the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, IV degree, the Order of Honor and others. (AA)
