New decision on unlicensed electrical installations in the disaster area

In unauthorized electricity generation facilities in places declared in a state of emergency and disaster zones, the unsealed consumption in 2023 and 2024 will be based on its consumption in this area in 2022.

According to the decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Council (EPDK) published in today’s Official Gazette, if the total consumption of uncompensated electrical energy of these facilities for 2023 or 2024 is lower than the total value of uncompensated electrical energy in 2022, the electricity that can be sold in 2024. The total electricity consumption that has not been offset by 2022 will be used to calculate the consumption amount.

Within the scope of the decision, the entire amount of electrical energy in excess of the need associated with consumption facilities put into operation in the region for the first time in 2023 and that can be sold this year will be taken into account. (AA)
