According to the information contained on the website of Karpowership, a subsidiary of Karadeniz Holding and which operates one of the largest floating power plants in the world, the company has been meeting the electricity needs of Guinea-Bissau since the agreement signed in 2019.

“Karpowership agreed to renegotiate with the government to ensure that the accumulated debt is not a problem,” Seidi said in a press release.
