The Treasury borrowed 24.3 billion lira

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed a total of 24 billion 348.9 million lira in two bond auctions held today.

The first tender saw the first issuance of TLREF-indexed government bonds with a maturity of 4 years (1,456 days), coupon payments every 3 months, and an initial coupon rate of 7.5 percent. The periodic interest of the tender was 7.9 percent.

In the tender where the nominal bid was 35 billion 948 million lira, the nominal sales were 4 billion 375 million lira and the net sales were 4 billion 219.4 million lira.

In the tender in which no offers were received from the public, offers from market makers worth 18,911 million lira were received and 7 billion lira were sold to this sector.

In the second tender, the first issuance of fixed coupon government bonds with a maturity of 10 years (3,640 days) and a coupon payment of 13.1 percent every 6 months was carried out. In the tender, the simple interest was 27.48 percent and the compound interest was 29.36 percent.

In the tender where the nominal bid was 20 billion 392.5 million lira, the nominal sales were 7 billion 449 million lira and the net sales were 7 billion 129.5 million lira.

In the tender in which no offers were received from the public, offers were received from market makers for 9.407 billion liras and 6 billion liras were sold to this sector.

Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 24 billion 348.9 million lire in two tenders. (AA)
