The 5,000 lire bonus regulation is in Parliament

To the draft law on the rental of housing for tourist purposes, which was discussed in the Planning and Budget Commission of the GNAT, the rule regarding a one-time bonus of 5,000 lira for unemployed retirees was added.

EMPLOYEES AND RETIRED WILL NOT BENEFIT

According to the proposal accepted in the commission, working retirees will not be able to benefit from the bonus. However, those receiving widow’s and orphan’s pensions were entitled to benefit from this bonus even if they were working. The justification for the proposal stated that the 5,000 lira bonus would be granted to increase the welfare of pensioners, widows and orphans.

According to the proposal jointly presented by AKP and MHP deputies and accepted in the committee, a retirement bonus of 5,000 lira will be paid to retirees who do not work or do not carry out any activity between October 1 and 31.

WIDOWS AND ORPHANS WILL BENEFIT

Retirees who work between these dates will not receive payment. Widows, orphans and people with a degree of disability will benefit from the bonus amount in proportion to their shares. An exception will be established for widows and orphans, and they will not be required to have not worked in October. Therefore, bonuses of between 1,250 and 3,750 lira will be paid to widows and orphans even if they work in October.

There will be no seizure or deduction from the bond payment. In case of unfair payment, this money will be recovered by deducting 25 percent of their salaries. Payments will be covered from the Treasury budget. The President will add an item for this purpose to this year’s budget. In the justification for the proposal it was stated that the payment was made to improve the welfare of the insured.
