THE TAX WILL BE CHARGED FROM THE INCOME
With the bill proposed by AKP MP Oğuzhan Kaya and his friends, these residences will be registered and taxes will be collected from the income. The proposal began to be discussed in the Planning and Budget Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
AKP member Kaya stated that there are 30,908 houses registered with the Police and Gendarmerie and short-term rentals for tourist purposes, and that 425,902 people are staying in these houses as of September 2023. As a result of cross-checks and inspections, the number of residences used for short-term tourist accommodation reaches 80,000, including unregistered ones.
