Russia began sending natural gas to Uzbekistan

Russia began shipping natural gas to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kasım Jomert Tokayev attended the ceremony of shipping Russian gas to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Putin emphasized that the shipment in question will further strengthen cooperation between the three countries and said: “I believe that the strategic partnership of our countries will continue and will continue to develop and deliver concrete results to our people.” “.

IT WILL IMPORT 7 MILLION CUBIC METERS OF GAS FOR 2 YEARS

Tokayev noted that the shipment of Russian gas to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan is a historic event and stated: “The natural gas industry plays a special role in the sustainable socio-economic progress of our states. Therefore, this project responds to the interests of all parties involved.” he said.

Mirziyoyev said they want to expand cooperation with Russia and Kazakhstan in the oil and natural gas sector.

Uzbekistan, which is among the natural gas producing countries, decided to import natural gas from Russia for the first time due to the decline in its production capacity.

According to the agreement signed with the Russian energy company Gazprom, Uzbekistan will import 7 million cubic meters of natural gas per day from Russia for two years. (AA)
