Bagels became 10 TL in Aydın – the era of credit cards for bagels has begun
Aydın Bakery merchants announced an increase in the price of bagels, citing rising costs of flour, sesame, yeast, fuel and salaries.
The bagel, which sells for 7 lira per 100 grams in the province, began to be sold for 10 lira as of Monday, October 2.
Simit prices in Aydın increased from 5 lira to 7 lira about three months ago. Thus, the price of the simit doubled in three months.
After the increases, some bagel sellers claimed that citizens had problems paying even 10 lira in cash and wrote on their counters “credit cards accepted.”
‘CITIZENS CAN’T GET IT’
Mobile bagel vendors say that the increase in input prices increases the price of bagels and said, “As the price increases, it affects both citizens and us. While citizens previously bought 2 or 3 bagels, now they buy one. Whereas before we were selling 100-150 bagels, we have now reduced it to 60-70 bagels. May God help the citizens. “Citizens are reacting to the price increase, but there is nothing to do,” he said.
A woman who learned that the price of the simit is 10 lira said: “We can’t say anything anymore. They trained us. We don’t know how far this will go. May God bless our end. “We live in a time of jokes,” she said.
A retiree expressed his reaction with the following statements:
“I am a retiree. That’s not enough. It is a sin for this citizen, this town. During election season, you go door to door to ask for votes. What face will you come with? “No political party should knock on my door and ask for my votes.”
