Bayraktar stated that the prices of 29 of the 37 products on the market increased in the month in question, the prices decreased in 7 products and there was no change in the price of one product, and underlined that the product whose price increased the most in the month The market was that of hazelnuts with 45.9 percent.

After noting that the increase in the price of hazelnuts was followed by dried apricots with 26.8 percent, peaches with 25.6 percent, red lentils with 25 percent and eggs with 22.3 percent , Bayraktar stated that the product whose price decreased the most in the market was green lentils with 16.6 percent, stating that this product was followed by eggplant with 11.5 percent, tomato with 4 percent and raisins with 3.9 percent.

Stating that there was a price increase on 21 of the manufacturer’s 29 products in September, a price decrease on 7 products, and no price change on one product, Bayraktar shared the following information:

“There were no changes in producer prices for dried apricots. Lemon prices, which were 8 lira last month, fell by 44.3 percent to 4.46 lira. While our producers, who had marketing difficulties, were not able to receive compensation for their efforts, this decline in producers was not reflected in consumers due to increased market prices. The drop in lemon prices was followed by eggplants with 19.5 percent, potatoes with 12.3 percent and tomatoes with 11.2 percent. The largest increase in producer prices was recorded in dried figs with 109.1 percent. “The price increase of dried figs was followed by raisins with 100 percent, apples with 74 percent, dried beans with 64.3 percent and carrots with 50 percent.”

Bayraktar also referred to the reasons for the change in producer prices and called for increased aid for diesel and fertilizers. (AA)
