TÜİK: Confidence in the economy increased in September
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the economic confidence index for September 2023.
Consequently, while the economic confidence index was 94.1 in August, it increased by 1.3 percent and reached 95.4 in September.
Although the index increased in September, it reached 103.7 in May, when the elections were held, and decreased 8.3 points in the four months after the elections.
An economic confidence index above 100 indicates optimism about the overall economic situation, and a value below 100 indicates pessimism about the overall economic situation.
CONSUMER TRUST HAS BEEN EFFECTIVE
Compared with the previous month, in September, the consumer confidence index increased by 5.1 percent to 71.5, the real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index increased by 0.5 percent to 105.1 , the service sector confidence index decreased 2 percent to 113, the retail trade The commercial sector confidence index increased 3 percent to 117.7, and the construction sector confidence index increased 1 percent to 88.3.
