87 percent of the planned collection of approximately 13.2 billion lira was achieved in the first payment period of the Additional Tax on Motor Vehicles (MTV), which was introduced to cover the financial needs to heal the wounds of the earthquake .
According to information obtained from the Revenue Administration (GİB), the first collection figures of MTV additional payments were included in the scope of “national mobilization” to meet the financial needs of the region after the earthquakes centered on KahramanmaraÅŸ that affected 11 provinces. on February 6 have been announced.
The additional MTV, which was created only once to help meet the need, was arranged to be paid in two equal installments in August and November 2023.
Consequently, as of September 22, 2023, in the first installment period, an additional MTV of 13 billion 157 million 597 thousand 71 lira was paid for 9 million 919 thousand 966 vehicles. In this way, 87 percent of the expected collection in the first quota period was realized.
THE SECOND INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS ARE IN NOVEMBER
The goal is to obtain a total income of 30 billion lira in 2 installments of the additional MTV, the second installment will be paid in November.
Thus, with the collection of approximately 13.2 billion lira obtained in the first tranche for around 10 million vehicles, 43.8 percent of the target was paid.
THE DECISION OF THE Constitutional Court is expected
On the other hand, CHP brought further regulation of MTV to the judiciary.
