Producer inflation in agriculture increased in August
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the producer price index of agricultural products for August 2023.

In the main groups, there was a 2.16 percent increase in annual plant products, a 3.39 percent increase in live animals and animal products and a 9.17 percent increase in perennial plant products in compared to the previous month.
THE GREATEST INCREASE IS IN VEGETABLES AND MELON-WATERMELON
The subgroups with the lowest annual increase were fibrous plants with 8.84 percent and cereals (except rice), legumes and oilseeds with 22.32 percent, respectively.
For their part, the subgroups with the greatest annual increase were vegetables, melons, roots and tubers with 146.04 percent, and pome fruits and stone fruits with 131.93 percent, respectively.
The subgroups with the greatest decrease compared to the previous month were other fruits of trees and shrubs with 16.12 percent and fibrous plants with 1.99 percent.
The subgroups with the highest monthly increase were tropical and subtropical fruits with 13.87 percent and pome and stone fruits with 9.55 percent.
