Retail sales volume increased in July
According to TUIK, the volume of retail sales at fixed prices increased by 31.0 percent in July 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 19.1 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding automobile fuel) increased by 41.8 percent, and sales of automobile fuel increased by 17.0 percent.
Retail sales volume at constant prices increased 2.7 percent in July compared to the previous month. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco decreased by 2.4 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding automobile fuel) increased by 5.9 percent, and sales of automobile fuel decreased by 1.0 percent.
Retail trade turnover at current prices increased by 93.3 percent in July compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 84.4 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding automobile fuel) increased by 124.3 percent, and sales of automobile fuel increased by 38.1 percent.
Retail turnover at current prices increased by 12.0 percent in July compared to the previous month. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 3.7 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding automobile fuel) increased by 13.5 percent, and sales of automobile fuel increased by 23.9 percent.
