REASONS FOR CHANGES IN MANUFACTURER PRICES
Bayraktar, who assessed the reasons for the change in producer prices, said:
“The restriction on dry onion exports and the increase in supply caused a drop in dry onion prices. The intensification of the summer carrot harvest and the decrease in demand in the summer months caused the prices to fall.
The drop in the price of black pepper, zucchini and aubergines was due to the increase in the supply of these products. Foreign demand and growing consumer demand, especially for winter use, were effective in the tomato case. The supply did not meet the demand for beans, green onions, parsley and lettuce.
The hazelnut price rose after the announcement of the purchase price by the Turkish Grains Board. The increase in the lemon price was due to the decrease in supply, since the harvest of the early lemon variety has not started.
Once again, the decrease in the supply of potatoes pushed up the prices. The fact that the pistachio is not a year old has increased the price with the harvest of the new product”.
INCREASE IN FERTILIZER AND FUELS PRICES
Bayraktar said the following about the prices of agricultural production inputs:
“According to the price data that we receive from the input markets through our cameras, in August, compared to July, 20,20.0 percent of compound fertilizers, 14.8 percent of DAP fertilizers, 13.5 percent ammonium sulfate fertilizers, 9.6 percent urea fertilizers, and calcium ammonium nitrate. fertilizers rose 3.7 percent.
