The discount on gasoline is coming
Fluctuations in oil prices and in the dollar exchange rate continue to be reflected in fuel prices.
According to information provided by sources in the sector, starting tonight a discount of 99 cents will be applied to the price of a liter of gasoline.
There will be no price changes tonight.
WHAT WILL THE NEW PRICES BE?
With tonight’s discount, the price of a liter of gasoline will decrease to approximately TL36.74 in Istanbul, TL37.34 in Ankara and TL37.46 in Izmir.
The price per liter of diesel is approximately TL 37.89 in Istanbul, TL 38.46 in Ankara and TL 38.63 in Izmir.
Prices vary between provinces, counties and dealers.
HEAVY RAIN AFTER ELECTIONS
The government, which cut taxes before the elections and clamped down on exchange rates by depleting reserves, made record tax increases after the elections and gradually raised the dollar rate.
On May 14, in the first round of the elections, the price of a liter of diesel was 18.58 TL and the price of a liter of gasoline was 19.81 TL in Istanbul.
While the rate of increase for diesel fuel will reach 104 percent after the elections, the rate of increase for gasoline will be 85 percent at the discounted price.
