WHAT IS THE LIEN?

Electronic foreclosure, also known as an electronic lien, is a system of liens that is applied to your wages or bank accounts solely because of your government debt, that is, your tax debts. Foreclosure proceedings are generally brought for reasons such as traffic ticket debts, motor vehicle tax debts, rental income tax debts, and tax debts. You can find out if there is a lien on your bank account(s) on the e-Government and GİB websites.

HOW TO MAKE AN INQUIRY ABROAD?

If you have such debts, you can use the Revenue Administration and E-Government (GİB) websites to check if your bank accounts are blocked or not. It can also direct you to the GİB website for inquiries you make through e-government.

E-government inquiries about foreclosures only cover the Ministry of Finance. Debts from private institutions, bank debts and other debts are not covered by the electronic lien.
