Investigation of 14 companies by the Competition Board
The Competition Board decided to open an investigation against 6 companies for considering that manufacturers of refractory (fire resistant) materials increase prices together, 5 companies for fixing resale prices and 3 car dealers for violating competition law.
According to the announcement on the Competition Authority’s website, a preliminary investigation has been concluded into the allegation that manufacturers of refractory materials operating in Turkey violated competition law by raising prices together.
Discussing the information, documents and determinations obtained in the preliminary investigation, the Board, Asmaş Ağır Sanayi Malzemeleri Imal ve Tic. Inc., Daussan Refrakter Inc., Haznedar Durer Refractory Materials Industry and Trade Inc., Kümaş Magnesite Industry Inc., Piromet Pirometallurgy Material Refractory Mak. Singing. and tick. AŞ and Remsan Refrakter Material St. and tick. AŞ opened an investigation.
In addition, Piano Kozmetik Kimya Tekstil Yayıncılık Reklamcılık Org. Singing. and tick. Limited. Sti, RRH Small Appliances Ltd. Sti, Wahl Appliances Tic. Limited. Sti, 2B İnş. Eng. Commitment Type. Texas food. Singing. Limited Trade. Şti and Mehmet Salih Ay-Veysel Elektronik.
On the other hand, the Board decided to open an investigation for ERY Motors-Eray Ersan, Özgen Gallery and Canatar Auto operating in Adana, Antalya and Gaziantep for violating competition law. (AA)
