Mining cooperation agreement signed with the Saudis
The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, said that they met with the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, and signed a memorandum of understanding that will pave the way for cooperation in the field of mining.
Bayraktar said the agreement includes necessary mine-critical cooperation on new technologies in areas such as electric vehicles and solar panels.
Highlighting Saudi Arabia’s interest in green hydrogen, wind and solar panels in particular, Bayraktar stated that in this framework they have a power target of 5,000 megawatts.
