In the framework of the negotiations of the Public Collective Agreement of the seventh legislature, the government and the unions could not reach an agreement on the rate of increase due to the two proposals of the government, which were below the hunger limit, and the arbitration committee intervened according to procedure. The delegation includes representatives of 3 ministries, 2 unions and academics. The arbitration commission of Public Officials, which will decide the amount of the increase, will be made up of the Court of Accounts, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Ministry of the Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. , Presidency Strategy and Budget Presidency, 2 from Memur-Sen, 2 from Kamu-Sen and one each. There are 11 KESK names, one each and two academics. Negotiations between the parties began on August 1, 2023.

BELOW INFLATION

The government presented its first proposal as 24.2 percent for 2024 and 11 percent for 2025. The second offer was made as 15+10 percent for 2024 and 6+5 for 2025. In this process, the unions, which vetoed Both proposals, which were below the inflation rates determined by the Central Bank at 58 percent for 2023 and 33 percent for 2024, went on strike.
