Binali Yıldırım: There will be a major improvement in the pension
Binali Yıldırım, vice president of the AKP, made a statement on pensions in the live broadcast she attended.
Yıldırım affirmed that there will be a significant improvement in pensions, saying: “As soon as parliament opens, the work on pensions will be finished.”
Yıldırım used the following statements in her statement:
“Although we increased pensions from 2,500 to 7,500, it was insufficient given the high inflation. The lowest salary of civil servants doubled, the minimum salary was 11 thousand 400 TL. Here, our citizens with the lowest pensions remained weak.
Our President Erdogan also gave his advice. According to the information I have obtained, as soon as Parliament opens, a major improvement will be achieved for all retirees, especially those who receive 7,500 TL for retirees.”
Parliament, which is currently in recess, opens on October 1.
Speaking to reporters on the plane after returning from his visit to Hungary two days ago, President Erdoğan said: “While our civil servants receive these raises, it is not uncommon for our retirees to receive nothing. I hope we take steps that make them happy,” he said.
