Eurozone industrial production increased in June
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) announced seasonally adjusted industrial production data for the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone for June.
Consequently, industrial production in the euro zone increased by 0.5 percent in June compared to May and decreased by 1.2 percent compared to June 2022.
Industrial production in the EU also increased by 0.4 percent in June compared to the previous month and decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
In June, the highest monthly increase in industrial production among EU countries was determined in Ireland with 13.1 percent, Denmark with 6.3 percent and Lithuania with 3.2 percent. The biggest decrease was seen in Sweden with 5.3 percent, Finland and Malta with 3.3 percent and Belgium with 3 percent.
On an annual basis, industrial production increased the most in Denmark with 12.3 percent, in Ireland with 8.3 percent and in Slovakia with 3.6 percent, in Estonia with 12.7 percent, it decreased by 9.3 percent in Bulgaria and by 7.6 percent in Belgium. (AA)
