Budget posted a surplus of TL 48.6 billion in July
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance released the results of the budget execution for the month of July.
According to data released by the Treasury, the central government budget recorded a surplus of TL 48.6 billion in July. The central government budget broke a record with a deficit of TL 219.6 billion in June.
According to the data, the primary surplus was recorded at TL 86.3 billion in July.
INCOME AND EXPENSES
In July, the central government budget expenditure was TL 455.8 billion and the budget revenue was TL 504.4 billion. In the January-July period, budget revenue increased 63.1 percent and budget expenditure increased 96.8 percent compared with the same period a year earlier.
Therefore, the budget recorded a deficit of TL 434.6 billion in the first 7 months of the year.
A transfer of TL 34.5 billion was made in July for currency protected deposits (KKM). Transfers made in small amounts to KKM since the beginning of the year rose to 20.6 billion lira in June, when the lira lost its value considerably.
The total cost of money collateralized deposits for the treasury in the first 7 months was TL 59.5 billion.
