The rain of increases in the prices of gasoline and diesel, which began after the elections, continues.

According to information provided by industry sources, the price of a liter of gasoline will increase by 1 lira and 55 cents, starting at midnight today.

There will be no price change on diesel tonight.

With the increase, the price of a liter of gasoline will rise to approximately TL 37.71 in Istanbul, TL 38.23 in Ankara and TL 38.34 in Izmir.

HIGH RAIN AFTER THE ELECTIONS

The government, which cut taxes before the election and clamped down on exchange rates by depleting reserves, made record tax increases after the election and gradually raised the dollar rate.

The price of a liter of diesel, which was TL 18.58 in Istanbul on May 14, the first round of the elections, rose to TL 38.34 with the exchange rate and tax increases.

The rate of increase for diesel fuel in the three months after the election reached 106.4 percent.

The price of a liter of gasoline, which was TL 19.81 in Istanbul on May 14, the first round of the elections, rose to TL 37.71 with the exchange rate and tax increases.

The rate of increase of gasoline in the two months after the elections reached 90.4 percent.
