Retail sales fell in June
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the retail sales indices for June 2023.
Consequently, the volume of retail sales at constant prices increased 28.5 percent in June 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 26.6%, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) by 32% and sales of auto fuels by 19.4%.
Retail sales volume at constant prices decreased 0.1 percent in June 2023 compared to the previous month.
MONTHLY RETAIL BILLING INCREASED 73 PERCENT
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 2.3 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) decreased 1.3 percent, and sales of auto fuel decreased by 0.1 percent.
Retail billing at current prices increased 73 percent in June 2023 compared to the same month a year earlier.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 89.3%, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) by 96.2% and sales of auto fuels by 3.2% .
