New price for bakery bread

Bakers: Bread must be 12 lire

Murat Kavuncu, president of the Turkish Federation of Bread Producers, made a written statement titled “Bread costs 12 TL.”

Stating that there has been a rise in almost all products in recent days, and that these rises have increased the cost of bread, which is the staple food of the people, as well as many products, Kavuncu said:

“A GREAT ECONOMIC CRISIS…”

*Both our bread producers and the agricultural sector are in a major economic crisis due to the economic crisis in Turkey, the constant increase in the exchange rate and the increase in the prices of raw materials in the agricultural and bakery sector.

*It is a fact that there is almost 300 percent inflation in agricultural and food products. The financial and economic development policies followed by our country and the program to fight inflation and devaluation must be changed immediately and the necessary measures must be taken to improve our economy.

“THE COST OF BREAD IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO THE 10 LIRA BAND”

*Due to the increasing cost of bread in the last year and a half due to increases in diesel, electricity, natural gas, construction, real estate prices, vehicle prices, minimum wage increase and tax increases, 250 grams of bread would normally be between 7 and 10 TL in Turkey.

*However; The cost of bread is expected to rise to the 10TL band due to the latest Bag Law and the accompanying tax increases. Therefore, the price of bread is expected to be 12 TL.

“WE ALSO SUPPORT THE REPUBLICAN ALLIANCE”

*As Turkish Federation of Bread Producers; Taking into account the national consciousness and the support of the MHP, we also stand with the People’s Alliance, together with our bakers, bakers and agricultural producers throughout Turkey, for the national unity and solidarity of our country and our state, against the forces inside and outside the country that threaten our national sovereignty, illegal terrorist organizations and the economic terror that our country has been dealing with for 2 years, because we believe that the economic cabinet of the century will be established in the 2023 elections.

“IT IS CLEAR THAT THE COMMITMENTS GIVEN ARE NOT FULFILLED”

*But after the elections; It is obvious that the commitments made before the election by institutions such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Tourism have not been fulfilled.

*For this reason; both as the strongest representative of the bread and bakery and agriculture sectors, as a non-governmental organization supporting the Peoples’ Alliance; We have come to the conclusion that our esteemed President must take the necessary precautions and measures immediately.

*In addition, we note that the parties with groups in Turkey’s Grand National Assembly did not take any precautions and did not show the necessary reactions when passing the Omnibus Law, within the additional post-election budget negotiations.

“THE NEED WAS BORN FOR BREAD PRICES TO BE 12 TL”

*As the Turkish Federation of Bread Producers, we closely follow this programme. After the Turkish Grand National Assembly passed this Bag of Laws, it became necessary for bread prices to be 12 TL throughout Turkey.

We hope that the prices of our bread will be beneficial for our country and our sector. (PHOENIX)
