WHAT WILL THE NEW PRICES BE?
With the increase, the price per liter of diesel will rise to approximately TL 33.87 in Istanbul, TL 34.35 in Ankara and TL 34.53 in Izmir.
The price of a liter of gasoline is approximately 34.05 TL in Istanbul, 34.53 TL in Ankara and 34.64 TL in Izmir.
Prices vary between provinces, counties and dealers.
HIGH RAIN AFTER THE ELECTIONS
The government, which cut taxes before the election and clamped down on exchange rates by depleting reserves, made record tax increases after the election and freed up the dollar exchange rate.
The price of a liter of diesel, which was TL 18.58 in Istanbul on May 14, the first round of the elections, rose to TL 33.87 with the exchange rate and tax increases.
The rate of increase for diesel fuel in the two months after the election reached 82 percent.
