Eskişehir KESK branch platform organized a ‘Dabas with a spoon, drank with a ladle’ action in front of DSİ in Odunpazarı Vişnelik Mahallesi district. CHP Eskişehir MP Jale Nur Süllü, retirees and representatives of non-governmental organizations also supported the action of members of the Eskişehir KESK Branch Platform who reacted to price increases.

Speaking on behalf of the Eskişehir ESM Provincial Representative Office, Oytun Gökten reacted to the needle-in-thread price increases, saying, “We are breaking growth records, the shelves are full, the world is jealous of us.” However, only our problems, problems, poverty and debts are growing. On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury kept mocking all the workers saying: ‘Despite the increase, our country is the 4th cheapest country in Europe for gasoline and diesel.’ Unfortunately, the same ministry has become so brazen as to say that the 224 percent increase in the SCT per cubic meter of natural gas means ‘an increase of approximately 6 cents in the price per cubic meter’. In short, as always, they have already returned with the ladle what they gave with the spoon.
